Music Technology is a well-established academic discipline that encompasses all technical aspects of music-making, from acoustics to signal processing and AI
While widely prevalent in Western academia, the discipline is only modestly represented in Israel
This conference is a first-of-its-kind initiative to bring together Israeli music technology researchers and lay the groundwork for establishing Music Technology as a formal academic discipline in Israel
The event will feature talks on key music technology research areas, including AI, interfaces and instruments, signal processing, audio and music acoustics, as well as presentations on industry projects, guest speakers from abroad, and a discussion panel/ workshop
The conference is open to anyone with an interest in music technology, particularly those considering graduate studies and researchers in related fields

טכנולוגיה מוזיקלית באקדמיה ובתעשיה בישראל - תחילת הדרך
טכנולגיות בתחום המוזיקה מקיפות מגוון היבטים אקדמיים של יצירה והפצת מוזיקה: אקוסטיקה, שמע (אודיו), עיבוד אותות, אינפורמציה ודחיסה, מדעי הנתונים, בינה מלאכותית ועוד. בעוד שברמה העולמית התחום זוכה לביקוש ופעילות רבה, הנוכחות שלו באוניברסיטאות בישראל מעטה, בדרך כלל כצדדי לתחום המוביל של עיבוד דיבור ושפה.
הכנס הראשון מסוגו בארץ יחבר בין חוקרים בתחום המיוזיק-טק, באקדמיה ובתעשייה, ויחזק את מעמדו האקדמי של התחום. האירוע יכלול הרצאות של חוקרים בארץ ובעולם במגוון תחומים, כולל AI, ממשקים וכלים אלקטרו-אקוסטיים, עיבוד אותות שמע, הפקת אינפורמציה מוזיקלית (MIR), כלי עזר למוזיקאים, וכן פאנל וקבוצות עבודה. הכנס מיועד לכל מי שמתעניין בתחום, ובפרט למי ששוקל לימודים מתקדמים, מחקר ויישומים מתקדמים.
